Severe Lower Back & Leg Pain…

"I had lower back pain and severe left leg pain with limping. Pain kept waking me up frequently and kept me from enjoying life. It was difficult to be in a good mood. Now I have almost completely recovered from the pain, my limp has disappeared and I'm sleeping better. My mood and quality of life has greatly improved."

What Is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture promotes natural healing and improves overall body function by stimulating trigger points found on or near the surface of the skin. By stimulating these points with extremely fine, sterile, stainless-steel needles our Doctors of Chiropractic can alter various biochemical and physiological conditions ultimately treating a wide variety of chronic pain and illnesses.

Acupuncture can be explained in two ways.

The Eastern philosophy believes there is a subtle flow of energy in the body called chi. This energy may become congested at different points in the body leading to dysfunction and disease. Removing the congestion by inserting needles into the specific points allows the energy to resume its normal flow. Many of the acupuncture points run parallel to the nerves and arteries in the body.

The Western philosophy on acupuncture theorizes that by stimulating different points on the body, different areas of the brain are activated and a healing response can be initiated. Brain scans have shown increased electrical activity in response to acupuncture point stimulation. The activity may lead to a change in circulation or immune system response or simply increase the brains awareness of a particular area of the body.

Regardless of the philosophy, acupuncture can be effective for a whole host of health conditions including pain, anxiety and allergies.
