Restless Leg Syndrome
Restless Leg Syndrome can be defined as the uncontrollable urge to move the body to relieve slight discomforts. Most of the time the legs are affected but the arms or torso can also be affected. This condition has been labeled a disorder of the nervous system. Symptoms are most prevalent during relaxing quiet periods and often times; sleep is disturbed by a sudden jerk. Because of the uncontrollable muscle twitching at night, a person's spouse can have their sleep affected as well. This may lead to complications in a relationship.
