Spinal Stenosis Symptoms

Spinal Stenosis pain is typically felt as weakness or pain in the legs while walking but may also be experienced as low back pain. A common term used to describe people suffering from spinal stenosis is the “grocery cart” sign. The term is used because many people with spinal stenosis experience relief from walking by leaning slightly forward onto the handle of a grocery cart. Leaning forward reduces the pressure by slightly opening up the spine.

This condition generally occurs over time and pain, although minor, can become chronic in nature. Often times the spinal canal has decreased in size to the point where the pain has increased significantly.

Chiropractors at Frisco Spinal Rehab are experts at diagnosing and treating spinal stenosis. If you feel pain in your legs, which goes away with stretching, you may want to have one of our experts examine and diagnose your condition.
